Celebrating with our favourite people on the Island of Love.
Pernera Beach Hotel · Pernera · Cyprus

Welcome
If you are reading this, it means you are one of the people we simply could not imagine celebrating our wedding without.
When we started planning our wedding, we knew one thing for certain: we did not just want to invite you to our wedding, we wanted to invite you to Cyprus.
This website has been created to help you plan your trip, choose where to stay, understand the travel options and keep up to date as our plans come together.
Whether you are joining us for a long weekend or making a holiday of it, we hope this helps you make the very most of your time on this incredible island.
Matt & Tanya
Our Journey Begins
Our celebrations begin long before we say, “I do.”
In the days leading up to our wedding, our closest family and friends will begin arriving in Cyprus from across the UK. Some of you will join us for a few days, others for a little longer, but however long you are able to stay, we are simply grateful you will be there.
Little by little, our favourite people will gather in one of our favourite places in the world. There will be mornings by the pool, afternoons on the beach, dinners that last longer than planned, plenty of laughter and memories made long before the wedding day arrives.
Then, on Saturday 22 May 2027, surrounded by the people we love most, we will become husband and wife.
And if you can stay with us until Monday 24 May or beyond, we would love to spend one final relaxed day together before everyone heads home.
However long you are with us, thank you for being part of A Celebration in Cyprus.
Your Trip
Everyone’s plans will be different. Some guests will be joining us for a long weekend, others will stay for a week or even longer.
A three-night stay is certainly possible and may work perfectly for some guests. However, it is worth remembering that flights from the UK often arrive into Larnaca late in the evening.
If you are travelling Friday to Monday, you will most likely arrive late on Friday evening, enjoy the wedding celebrations on Saturday and then be preparing to head home again on Monday.
If you are able to stay for four nights or longer, you will have much more opportunity to enjoy Protaras, relax by the sea and spend quality time with family and friends before and after the wedding.
After all, some moments deserve more than just one day of memories.
Friday to Monday.
The absolute minimum if time is tight, but please remember that UK flights often arrive late on Friday evening.
Thursday to Monday.
A little more time to settle in, enjoy Protaras and be part of the build-up.
A great balance if you want the trip to feel like a proper holiday.
Perfect if Cyprus becomes your main holiday and you want the full experience.
Your Stay
Although our wedding ceremony and celebrations will take place at the beautiful Pernera Beach Hotel, we have deliberately chosen to base ourselves in Protaras throughout our celebrations.
Why? Because we do not want our wedding to be just one day. We want it to be a holiday, an opportunity to spend quality time together and to make memories that begin long before we say “I do.”
That is why our recommended accommodation is in Protaras, not at the wedding venue in Pernera. Everything is only a short taxi ride from Pernera Beach Hotel on the wedding day, while allowing everyone to enjoy Protaras before and afterwards.
We have chosen our recommended accommodation with one simple goal in mind: keeping everyone together for as much of the celebration as possible.

Planning Your Journey
For all guests travelling from the UK, the airport you need is Larnaca International Airport (LCA). Larnaca is approximately 40 minutes from Protaras by car or transfer.
If you are booking flights and accommodation separately, websites such as Skyscanner are a great place to compare prices from your local airport into Larnaca.
It is also worth checking airlines directly, including Jet2, easyJet, Wizz Air, Ryanair and British Airways where routes are available. Tour operators such as TUI may also offer flight-only options.
Airport: Larnaca International Airport (LCA)
Destination: Protaras
Transfer time: approximately 40 minutes
Wedding date: Saturday 22 May 2027
Use comparison sites such as Skyscanner and check airlines directly. This can work well if you want full control over flight times, hotel choice and length of stay.
Before booking directly with any hotel, we recommend checking package holiday providers such as Jet2 Holidays and TUI. Tour operators often pre-book large room allocations, so a package including flights and accommodation can sometimes work out cheaper than booking each part separately.
If you book a package, transfers may already be included. If you book flights and accommodation separately, we will share more information about airport transfers, pickups and taxi options nearer the time.
Board Basis
For most guests, we would recommend booking Bed & Breakfast. Protaras has a brilliant choice of cafés, tavernas, restaurants and bars, and we would love everyone to experience as much of the local food as possible during their stay.
If you prefer a little more structure, Half Board is also a good option and usually includes breakfast and an evening meal.
We generally do not think All Inclusive is necessary, simply because there are so many places to eat and drink locally and we would not want you to miss out on everything Protaras has to offer.
“This is not just where we are getting married. It is where we would love to spend time with the people who mean the most to us.”
Why Cyprus?
Cyprus has held a special place in Matt’s heart since he was a kid. Over the years it has become much more than a holiday destination — it is somewhere filled with memories, friendships and business.
We wanted our family and friends to experience everything that makes this island so special: the coastline, the sunshine, the restaurants, the relaxed evenings and the warmth of the people.
Cyprus is affectionately known as the Island of Love, and we cannot think of a more fitting place to begin our next chapter together.
Time Together
As we get closer to May 2027, we will add details of optional get-togethers, welcome drinks, beach days, meals, Sunday plans and anything else we arrange around the wedding.
Nothing will be compulsory. This is simply where we will share opportunities to spend time together while everyone is in Cyprus.
Wedding Day
Venue: Pernera Beach Hotel, Pernera, Cyprus.
More details about timings, dress code, transport and the order of the day will be added closer to the wedding.
For now, save the date. We cannot wait to celebrate with you.

This is not a formal RSVP yet. It simply helps us understand who is hoping to come, how long people may want to stay and who might need help with accommodation options.
FAQs
Our recommended wedding base is Constantinos The Great Beach Hotel in Protaras, where Matt and Tanya, the wedding party and many guests are expected to stay.
Absolutely. We would love as many people together as possible, but guests should choose whatever works best for their budget and plans. We are recommending Protaras options only so guests remain close to the wider group and activities.
The wedding itself is at Pernera Beach Hotel, but our recommended accommodation is in Protaras so guests can stay close to the wider group, activities and get-togethers before and after the wedding.
Larnaca International Airport (LCA) is the airport you need for Protaras. Transfer time is approximately 40 minutes.
It is worth comparing both. Package holidays with companies such as Jet2 Holidays or TUI can sometimes be cheaper because tour operators often pre-book large allocations of hotel rooms. If booking separately, Skyscanner is a useful starting point for flights.
For most guests we suggest Bed & Breakfast. Half Board can also work well, but we generally do not think All Inclusive is necessary because Protaras has so many great places to eat and drink.
That depends on how long you can stay. A three-night trip is possible, but UK flights often arrive into Larnaca late in the evening, so four nights or more will give you more time to enjoy the build-up and the relaxed Sunday after the wedding.
Where possible, we would really prefer guests not to fly home on the Sunday. We would love that day to be relaxed time together after the wedding.
Not yet. The website will be updated as timings, events and plans are confirmed.
